for this piece (opens in a new window).One popular speaker, who was representing The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, was addressing a group in an international setting and had chosen for her topic the principle of remaining morally clean during our lifetime.
After her speech one woman approached her and said, "How do you even know this? If I had known these standards, it would have changed my whole life."
I Know What to Do is based on the scripture in John 13:17 "If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them."

Lyrics: I am very happy;
I know what to do,
Because I am a member
Of the Savior's church,
It's true.
We have a living prophet
Who listens to the Lord,
So we may know in Latter days
His very sacred word.
We have the priesthood power
That guides us to do His will;
To baptize, bless, confirm and teach,
To serve and help and heal.
I want to share the truth
With people everywhere,
So when the Savior comes again
The world will be prepared.
The Church of Jesus Christ
Will help to keep me strong;
I will pray and study
All my life,
So I'll know right from wrong.
Because I am a member of
The Savior's church, it's true.
