Her recent compositions for church and concert choir are settings of Biblical texts and poetical works.
Song background:

"How Long, O Lord" is an Advent anthem pairing an original song based on Lamentations 1:4 with the traditional hymn, "O Come, O Come Emmanuel".  A haunting two-measure baritone solo introduces and concludes the piece.  The SAB choral writing is straightforward and manageable by nearly any choir.  As director of a small church choir, I realized there is a need for good literature for small choirs with limited rehearsal time. This piece was written for the choir of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Albert City, Iowa.
