More about Lisa Bradshaw:
Since a young age, I have loved listening to, performing, and creating music. I have co-written most of my music with my mother, Shirley Riley, who passed away a few years ago. She was a very talented lyricist and poet as well as musician and I miss her dearly. I have also collaborated with a very talented lyricist and singer, Tim Dalton Morganson, on many children's songs that you will find on this website. We hope you enjoy using them! I have a music degree from Utah State University, served a Spanish speaking mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to San Diego, Ca., and taught full-time Seminary at Bingham and Clearfield High schools. I currently have a piano studio in my home and continue to write music. My husband and I have 5 beautiful children and 6 darling grandsons.

Last year Pres. Nelson taught about the importance of learning how to hear the voice of the Lord in our lives. I decided I wanted to write a song about that and spent last year doing a topical study in the scriptures of "hearing Him." The music came. It even mirrors one of the first verses I found on the subject. I think He tries to speak to us in so many ways if we will just slow down, be quiet, stay for awhile, and listen.
Lyrics: Hear Him
(Deuteronomy 4:29-31)
If thou shalt seek the Lord, thou shalt find Him,
If thou seek Him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
When thou art in tribulation in the latter days,
If thou wilt turn to Him,
And be obedient,
He will not forsake thee.
Hear Him, in your quiet hours.
Read His holy word.
When you offer heartfelt prayer,
Be still and He’ll be there.
Just stay for awhile and you will hear Him.
Hear the Savior’s voice in the beauty
Of the skies and the sound of music, and river’s flow.
Listen for His voice when looking in a child’s eyes.
Hear Him and feel His love,
for you and all mankind.
He said to love each other.
Hear Him, in your quiet hours.
Read His holy word.
When you offer heartfelt prayer,
Be still and He’ll be there.
Just stay for awhile and you will hear Him.
When the world seems cruel and unfair,
When sorrow weighs upon your heart,
He’ll be there.
And when the darkness seems to close out any view,
Remember how it felt when you were able to
Hear Him, in your quiet hours.
Read His holy word.
When you offer heartfelt prayer,
Be still and He’ll be there.
Just stay for awhile and you will hear Him.
