Comments for this piece:
From Susan Wilcox: I haven't played this song yet. So my comments as a musican myself are about the simplicity I see and that is GOOD for most ward choirs. I have printed this out and will be GONE during all of March out of state and return to try to get an Easter program ready in less than a week! Yikes - this might be just the right piece. If I was your theory teacher, I'd ask you to develop the melody line a little more and not use the same melody on all verses. The music itself is pretty, and I've sung through it in my head twice or more. Very beautiful tune. Other voices would like it, but will have to settle for working on harmony, howbeit it is the same a lot of the time. I am a conductor of many years and now retired. I REALLY like your piece and it would be easier to do for my circumstances. Will let you know if I talk the choir director into doing this! I am the NEW Music Chairman, and just getting my feet wet in a new ward. I really like the range of this, too. It will be a delight to use it - if not for this Easter, then another time. Thanks for taking time to enter - I've never had the courage!
