There have been times when I wondered where God was in the turmoil, but as I continued to seek and look I found that He was there even when I felt abandoned. This hymn is a plea for help to see His hand in my life and a reminder to continue to look even when the way is dark. The promise made by the Lord to Abraham is a promise He makes to all of us: "Behold, I will lead thee by my hand." (Abraham 1:18). - Lynn Watkins
