Dr. Timothy Francis is Assistant Professor of Music at Dixie State University, teaching Music Theory, Composition, and Low Brass. Dr. Francis received his B.M.A. in Brass Pedagogy at Brigham Young University – Idaho, M.M. in Theory and Composition at the University of Northern Colorado, and Ph.D. in Music Theory at the University of Oregon. When not involved in music, Dr. Francis also enjoys gardening, woodworking, and spending time—especially outdoors—with his wife and kids.
