From James Grant Jones: Wow! What a wonderful Fugue Chris. Very, very well done. This grabbed my attention from the outset. Can't wait for more of your work. Thank you, sir!

When i created this piece, I wanted to make a song that has a similar flow to Bach's Fugue in G minor. This was the first fugue i've ever made and it definitely brought a lot of challenges. I first had to watch a lot fo video's explaining what a fugue basically is and the "rules" alongside it. I really listened hard and played Bach's fugue on my violin and cello. I wanted a song that sounded chaotic and had a lot of repeating themes that bounced around each instrument. Now when you hear Flower Fugue, you don't think chaotic, but I found a gif of a drawing of a flower on the internet and i really was inspired by how the artist made it move. It gave me a little bit of anxiety which is exactly what i wanted. I've made a lot of songs since i started composing a couple years ago, but this was by far one of the hardest to compose alongside my piano solo "Sunken Thoughts".
