More about Nicole Pavlatos-Delavoye :
Pianist, church organist by hobby, psychotherapist by trade, convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I received my undergraduate degree in music from Loyola University Chicago in 1999. I stopped playing after a spinal cord injury in 2015 left my hands quite damaged. I would have never touched a piano again had a bishop not called me to play for our ward choir. I rehabilitated my hands through my church callings. My hands now work sufficiently for most people not to notice the deficit. I have a strong testimony of the power of callings and gratitude for the bishop who trusted his inner whisperings to ask a newly disabled musician to take on such a challenge.
