This arrangement was written as part of a medley and was separated out from it to allow for more people to use as a stand alone piece. It includes congregational singing on verses 3 and 4. I've always loved the way the bass and tenor parts 'fill in the gaps' with repeated or extended lines in the chorus on this piece. Then it occurred to me that the ladies dont really get to enjoy doing that fun exchange of ideas. So verse two of this arrangement gives them a taste of it! Then that exchange extends between the choir and congregation in verse 4. I tried to give the congregation one verse - verse 3 - to sort of 'settle in' so that the choir singing different rhythms doesn't throw them off too much.
