I love this story from the Book of Mormon. The brother of Jared was a man of great faith and courage. Through modern revelation we have learned his name. I hope children will love learning about his choices and how faith is a way to bring miracles into our lives.

The brother of Jared's name,
And from the tow'r of Ba-bel
All of the Jaredite people came.
They built some lightweight barges.
Then with his family inside,
Prepared to sail to the promised land
Across the ocean wide.
Mahonri built eight barges tight,
All like dishes without a light.
And then he gathered sixteen stones,
Each was smooth and small and white.
He took them to the Savior,
