Every Member a Missionary is taken from a collection of songs called The Prophets Songbook which contains 17 songs of our modern-day prophets and themes from their presidency. This song was written to highlight David O. Mckay who extended the challenge to members of the church saying, "Every member a missionary."

That's what the prophet prayed.
