Growing up in New York, Stephanie was drawn to the power of music from a young age. While she was originally trained in classical singing, Stephanie always gravitated towards more upbeat and modern music. With her debut album, Touching Sky, Stephanie combines her love of traditional messages with fresh music. Since moving to Utah, Stephanie has worked closely with well-known artists including Jenny Phillips, Tyler Castleton, and Michael McLean. She was also featured soloist with Sally DeFord. She has a master’s degree in environmental science she and her husband have enjoyed building and selling businesses together. Stephanie is married with six children and likes to read, garden, run and bake fun birthday cakes.
My co-writer Tanya came away from a Relief Society meeting totally fired up about being enlisted in God's army. She came home and wrote her thoughts into some verses, and then we had great fun together putting it with the hymn "Onward Christian Soldiers." This is an original song that becomes a duet to the hymn. It is written as a solo with choir, but it could be adapted to be a choir piece, or a YW/YM piece. I hope you enjoy this anthem, and that you get fired up too!
A note about the recording, and the video: LISTEN TO THE MP3 TO HEAR THE SHEET MUSIC PLAYED. I recorded a simple recording of the sheet music at home, and unfortunately I did make a few mistakes! Sorry! But when you play it, you will be fabulous! I also included a professional, fully produced and engineered version in the video. If you'd like the minus track for this recording, just email me.
