Comments for this piece:
From Elizabeth Crawford: It's a great arrangement! I love the spirit of rejoicing it brings and the Alleluias are reminiscent at times of old Hebrew songs, but still with that classical sound. I love the interplay of alleluias. That said, no offense, but the example recording almost scared me off. It was obviously a cold run through and probably not practiced much by a small choir. It sounded messy and I wasn't sure what the final result would sound like. But I felt it had potential. So I input the song into my composing software and had it play it for me so I'd know what it should sound like. And it's great! So I took the chance and we sang it for Easter. And as expected, the initial rehearsals were a bit...scary. You've got to keep the rhythms clean. But by Easter it was wonderful! So happy I took the chance.
5.0 stars.
More about Emilee Yates :
I began studying piano at the age of 5 and since then it has been a very large part of my life. I earned my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in piano performance and have had extensive opportunities in both performance/competition and teaching. I love music! I am an amature composer but enjoy experimenting in this medium. It's a creative process that, to me, is very fulfilling. I am married to a wonderful and supportive man and we have three beautiful children.

The recording was quickly made during rehearsal just to give the general idea. It is based on the hymn Christ the Lord Is Risen Today with a new twist. The Congregation can join in at the end singing verse 1 straight from the hymn book.
