for this piece (opens in a new window).This original composition was written for the male chamber choir Voces Capituli in Antwerp, Belgium as a festive finale for their summer concerts in 2006. I am grateful to them for their encouragement, as this was one of my first original compositions. (Well, one of the first original compositions that I showed to anyone.) The text is taken from Psalm 96:1–3:

Lyrics: Cantate Domino canticum novum
cantate Domino omnis terra.
Cantate Domino benedicite nomini eius
annuntiate de die in diem salutare eius.
Annuntiate inter gentes gloriam eius
in omnibus populis mirabilia eius.
Sing unto the Lord a new song:
sing unto the Lord, all the earth.
Sing to the Lord, bless his name;
show forth His salvation from day to day.
Declare his glory among the nations,
His marvellous works among all people.
