This song was inspired by Sheri Dew's book Women and the Priesthood. President Russell M. Nelson shared some of the same truths in his talk "Spiritual Treasures." God's power is priesthood power. Any blessing from God comes through His power, which is priesthood, and is evidence of His love. We can access God's power (i.e., priesthood) through our faith in Christ as we make and keep covenants, invite and hearken to the Holy Ghost, do God's work, and apply Christ's atonement.
