MICHAEL K. ROLLINS is a data scientist by day and moonlights as a pianist, conductor, and arranger. His musical preferences include musical theatre, jazz, classical, sacred, and barbershop harmony. Classically trained, he'll discuss music theory to your heart's content. Michael's musical career got started accompanying church choirs and congregations at the age of 12, and founding a barbershop quartet and leading church choirs at 18. In his 20's, he music directed his first musical theatre shows. Now in his 30's, he conducts and arranges for religious events in northeast Ohio, USA. Married to a singer, they enjoy creating music together at home and church. Thanks mom for making me practice!

Song background:

Hearing young children sing religious songs is always inspiring, and when you're a friend with the primary chorister, you have the opportunity to coordinate the children's music with the choir's music. This arrangement lets the children stay on melody notes and be supported by a SATB choir. Flute and piano provide the accompaniment.
