Choral and Vocal Music teacher at the College level since 1973. He retired from Citrus College in Glendora CA in 2017. He won 1st place in the Welsh Eisteddfod Piano Competition in 1964 and has a bachelor's degree in Music Education and a master's degree in Choral Conducting from BYU and Cal State Fullerton. He has also published other pieces with Jackman Music.

Though Nephi was grateful for his many blessings, he still struggled with the trials of this life. His prayer of rededication to trust in the Lord always begins with "Awake, my soul! and Rejoice, O my heart. This piece is a re-engergizer and gives praise to the "rock of (our) salvation". It may be a possible choice for a Stake Choir.
