Song background:

"He Is Coming" is a 35-40 minute Christmas program with narration, scriptures, choir numbers and congregational carols. It is versatile, as it can be performed with all of the numbers being congregational hymns or with the choir choosing as many of the numbers as they can comfortably prepare.

Since time began, prophets have proclaimed the coming of the Savior to the world. This narration weaves the Christmas story in the New Testament around these prophecies and their strong testimonies of Christ. It is both gentle and powerful; musically rich, and yet simple, inviting the listener to seek this Jesus of whom the prophets and apostles have testified.

There are two pieces which feature strings; "O, How a Rose E'er Blooming", and "Angels We Have Heard on High." Various instruments can be substituted (flute, oboe, piano, etc.), or it can be changed to a solo, duet or trio.
