Choral and Vocal Music teacher at the College level since 1973. He retired from Citrus College in Glendora CA in 2017. He won 1st place in the Welsh Eisteddfod Piano Competition in 1964 and has a bachelor's degree in Music Education and a master's degree in Choral Conducting from BYU and Cal State Fullerton. He has also published other pieces with Jackman Music.

Martin Luther wrote the original (four) verses (in German) for this hymn. This arrangement draws from those verses in an English translation. Our hymn book contains one paraphrased verse. I composed this arrangement originally for the choir at the dedication of the Marseille, France chapel in 1968.
